interesting this weekend. there could be some weekend snow, but there's certainly going to be cold. not so much tomorrow. tomorrow is pretty nice. friday starts sunny and by afternoon we may touch 51 degrees. it's tomorrow night when we're going to see round one of a wave of precipitation come through. for some of you that will be rain. for some other spots it could change over or mix with some snow. going into saturday we're watching the arrival of an arctic cold front. that could bring a round of snow in as well in the afternoon and then it's just very blustery and cold heading into sunday with a temperature of 37 degrees. as we mentioned at the beginning of the broadcast, there's going to be a piece of energy out of the cost, what you're seeing here. that will eventually move over to the coast and become the first coastal storm we've seen in a while. it looks like it will go out to sea, but what's so interesting is we have this coastal and some truly arctic air finally coming into town, but we think at this point the way everything looks now they probably won't be able to get their act together to produce a

10:50 pm
we think the precipitation holds off until 9:00 or 10:00 in the western suburbs. in the morning there was a bit of rain south and east. we get a bit of a break, first wave of snow is over and now here comes the really cold stuff and notice the snow associated with that arctic front. that comes through in the afternoon. we could have another round of more snow than rain saturday afternoon and some of these blue areas indicating where you could get enough to accumulate especially across northern maryland. notice there's not a lot going on through west virginia. that keeps moving and the upslope snow begins in the mountains. sunday we're back to cold and breezy conditions and a brighter sky, but it's that most of the overnight hours and into the afternoon saturday we have to watch. where it's cold enough in the blue area here i think we could get some accumulation, lighter stuff for d.c. and the metro area the way things look now, but again we're still over 24 hours out from seeing this thing begin and we'll see if
